A perfectly cooked cut of beef depends on more than time spent over a hot grill. Marbling, seasoning, thickness and temperature all influence the finished dish, whether diners prefer a tender filet mignon, a richly flavored ribeye or a classic New York strip. Across the Ohio Valley, steakhouses, taverns and neighborhood restaurants offer different approaches to this American dining tradition. Some emphasize hand-cut beef and familiar accompaniments, while others incorporate premium ingredients and distinctive preparations. The Best of the Best Reader's Choice Awards recognizes restaurants grilling up the one of the most enduring favorites in restaurant dining.

Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse brings its signature steakhouse experience to Steubenville, Ohio, with a menu centered on fresh, hand-cut beef. Worth ribeye and a 20-ounce bone-in ribeye. The menu also includes a 23-ounce porterhouse T-bone, slow-roasted prime rib and filet medallions served over seasoned rice with a choice of sauce. Steak dinners come with two sides, while customers can add sautéed mushrooms, onions, jack cheese or gravy.
